Prepare for your Testosterone Blood Test by following the instructions included in your test kit. To ensure accurate results, it is recommended to take your sample before 10am. If you are using hormone gels, pessaries, patches, or tablets, it is advised to opt for a venous sample to minimise the potential for contamination that can occur with finger-prick tests. In the event that you administer hormone supplements, it is important to wear gloves and ensure that your fingers have not been in contact with these supplements for at least four weeks prior to the test. This is because hormones can be absorbed deep within the skin and remain there for weeks, even with thorough handwashing. To avoid any interference with the test, refrain from taking biotin supplements for two days before the test. If you have been prescribed biotin, it is advisable to discuss this with your doctor.
