About IMULAB

Blood testing, read through a performance lens.

IMULAB is a UK performance blood testing company for athletes, active people and high performers. We combine comprehensive laboratory testing, doctor-reviewed commentary and performance-focused context to make your results easier to understand and act on.

Why we exist

Because “normal” does not always explain why you feel below your best.

Most blood tests are designed primarily to identify illness or significant abnormality. That matters, but it is not the whole picture for someone trying to train consistently, recover properly and perform well.

IMULAB was built to make blood data more useful. We look across the connected systems that influence oxygen transport, energy, recovery, metabolic health, hormones, inflammation and long-term resilience.

We retain the laboratory reference ranges and add relevant performance context. The aim is not to diagnose from one number, but to help you understand the wider pattern and track what changes over time.

What makes IMULAB different

Testing should give you more than a list of numbers.

01 · THE FULLER PICTURE

Beyond a standard panel

We test multiple connected systems rather than relying on one or two popular markers in isolation.

02 · CONTEXT

A performance lens

Laboratory ranges remain central, with added context for training, recovery, nutrition and long-term performance.

03 · CLARITY

Doctor-reviewed commentary

Where included, a doctor reviews the results and explains the important findings in clear, measured language.

04 · PROGRESS

Built to be tracked

A baseline is the start. Retesting shows whether the changes you make are moving the markers you are working on.

The Performance Baseline panel

The full picture, not a handful of headline markers.

11 connected areas · 60+ biomarkers

The Performance Baseline covers the major systems that influence oxygen delivery, energy, recovery, hormone function, metabolic health and longer-term cardiovascular and organ health. Every marker below is interpreted as part of the wider pattern, not in isolation.

Our point of view

Do not guess at what you can measure.

Training data shows what happened on the outside. Blood testing adds context from the inside.

From sample to action

Clear from the first test to the next decision.

01

Choose your test

Start with the Performance Baseline or choose a focused test for a particular area.

02

Give your sample

Use the collection option shown with your test, at home or through a clinic or professional.

03

Understand the result

Receive laboratory results with clear commentary and doctor review where included.

04

Track the change

Retest relevant markers to see whether the actions you take are making a measurable difference.

Trust the process

Performance-led. Medically responsible.

Useful testing depends on more than the number of biomarkers. It requires appropriate sampling, laboratory processing, responsible interpretation and clear boundaries around what a blood test can establish.

IMULAB provides blood testing and commentary for wellbeing and performance purposes. Results are not a diagnosis or a replacement for care from your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

Laboratory analysis

Samples are analysed using the collection, handling and laboratory method appropriate to the selected panel.

Doctor review where included

Eligible tests include commentary from a doctor, with important findings explained in context.

Evidence-led context

Performance commentary is grounded in laboratory ranges and relevant evidence rather than unsupported promises.

Clear limitations

No single result tells the whole story. Appropriate medical follow-up is encouraged when a finding or symptom needs further investigation.

About IMULAB

Frequently asked questions.

What is IMULAB?

IMULAB is a UK blood testing company focused on wellbeing and performance. We offer comprehensive and focused tests with laboratory results, clear commentary and doctor review where included with the selected test.

What is performance blood testing?

Performance blood testing looks at biomarkers that add context to energy, recovery, oxygen transport, nutrient status, hormones, inflammation, muscle stress, glucose regulation and wider health. It does not replace medical diagnosis, but it can establish a clearer baseline and identify areas worth tracking.

Who is IMULAB for?

IMULAB is used by athletes, active people, coaches and high performers, as well as anyone who wants a more detailed view of their wellbeing. You do not need to be an elite athlete to benefit from understanding your blood markers.

How is IMULAB different from a standard blood test?

Standard testing is often designed to investigate symptoms or identify disease. IMULAB offers broader performance-focused panels and explains how connected biomarkers may relate to training, recovery and wellbeing, while retaining the laboratory reference range and appropriate medical boundaries.

Are IMULAB results reviewed by a doctor?

Doctor commentary is included with many IMULAB tests, including the Performance Baseline. The relevant product page confirms exactly what is included with each panel.

Where is IMULAB available?

IMULAB serves customers across the United Kingdom. Collection options vary by test and can include an at-home finger-prick sample, clinic collection or a venous sample taken by a healthcare professional.

Which IMULAB test should I start with?

For a broad performance and wellbeing overview, the Performance Baseline is the main starting point. It assesses more than 60 biomarkers across the major systems influencing energy, recovery and performance. Focused tests are available for specific questions and follow-up testing.
