Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
The B vitamins are a group of 8 all water-soluble vitamins, all crucial for cell metabolism, converting food into energy, the normal functioning of the central nervous system and the formation of red blood cells. Pyridoxine (B6) is a water-soluble vitamin involved in the metabolism of amino acids and helps in the production of neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which regulate mood, sleep, and appetite. Vitamin B6 is also involved in the production of haemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood.
