Christy Marshall founded IMULAB to make advanced blood and genetic testing affordable, accessible, and genuinely useful.

With it's headquarters based in the Highlands and operating across the UK, IMULAB helps individuals, athletes, and organisations understand what’s happening inside the body and how to use that information to perform, recover, and live better.

Christy holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Manchester and joined Imperial College London Medical School in 2022 to complete an MSc in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Her academic background underpins IMULAB’s commitment to scientific accuracy, clinical integrity, and evidence-based practice.

With a background in business growth and a deep interest in applied physiology, she has built IMULAB from the ground up. The company now combines UKAS accredited laboratories, in-house manufacturing, and digital reporting systems to deliver fast, reliable results that people can act on.

Her focus is on turning complex science into something simple, measurable, and personal; bridging the gap between information and real-world performance.

Dr Annabel Ross MBChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP serves as IMULAB’s Medical Director, providing clinical oversight and ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality across all testing and reporting processes.

With a background in general practice and preventive health, Dr Ross has extensive experience in the interpretation of clinical data and in translating complex medical information into clear, practical guidance. She works closely with IMULAB’s scientific and operations teams to maintain high clinical standards and ensure all reports remain compliant, comprehensible, and evidence-based.

Her focus is on bridging the space between clinical medicine and real-world performance ensuring every test delivers meaningful insight people can act on.

Dr Michael Buckle MB BCh is a GP based in the North East of England and serves as a Reporting GP and Advisory Board member. He graduated

Michael’s background in general practice and community medicine gives him a strong understanding of how clinical data can be used to prevent illness and support long-term health. His interest lies in early identification of metabolic and inflammatory trends and translating those insights into practical changes in training, nutrition, and recovery.

At IMULAB, Michael contributes to the development of testing frameworks, clinical oversight, and interpretation standards helping ensure that every result produced is both clinically sound and relevant to real-world performance.

Professor Ian Megson is a biomedical scientist with an international reputation for his work in cardiovascular physiology and inflammation research. Formerly Head of Health Sciences Research and Innovation at the University of the Highlands and Islands, he has spent more than 25 years studying the biochemical mechanisms that underpin oxidative stress, nitric-oxide signalling and vascular health.

Ian’s background combines academic leadership with a practical focus on translational science turning laboratory findings into real-world applications in health and performance. He continues to publish and supervise postgraduate research in human health and disease while advising a range of health-tech and biotechnology projects across the UK.

As a consultant and advisory board member at IMULAB, Ian provides scientific oversight and strategic guidance, ensuring that the company’s testing frameworks remain rigorous, evidence-based and aligned with current research.

David Howarth is an entrepreneur and innovator with more than two decades of experience in medical technology, diagnostics, and product development. He is the founder and CEO of DRUiD Health, a company developing next-generation biosensor and diagnostics platforms, and has been instrumental in shaping how health data is captured and applied in real-time clinical and performance settings.

Alongside his work with DRUiD Health, David has founded and advised several other ventures in technology and life sciences, bringing a deep understanding of how to take complex ideas from concept to commercial reality.

As a consultant and advisory board member at IMULAB, David contributes strategic insight across product design, regulatory planning, and scalable innovation helping ensure the company’s systems and technology evolve to meet global healthcare standards.

Graeme Buckle is Consultant and Advisory Board Member to IMULAB with clinical experience across both NHS and independent settings, Graeme Buckle is Chief Scientific Officer and Managing Director of Acculabs Diagnostics. With over two decades of experience in biomedical science and diagnostic operations, Graeme specialises in assay development, quality management, and laboratory compliance across both clinical and research settings.

His background spans molecular biology, haematology, and biochemistry, with a strong focus on developing robust processes that deliver accuracy and reliability at scale. Graeme has played a central role in building laboratory infrastructure across the UK, supporting both public and private sector projects.
